After producing sketch books pages for Sara Ligari i decided to produce a digital illustration of hers into a stitched outcome. There are many sections within this illustration which can be filled with colour, this is why i chose to develop this particular illustration. Illustrations with the addition of a range of materials, colour and depths are the illustrations which are much more interesting to be felt, looked at and researched into. I chose to use a varied colour palette, this makes the illustration look alive and exciting. It is important when creating designs to not over power the colour applications it can take the importance of the actual illustration away, this is why i only applied colours to part of the illustration so it was not too overpowering. As a result all aspects of this outcome can be appreciated, this proportions, the colour and the stitched skill.
